The Launch of the New Science and Health Building

The issue:

Coventry University has invested in a flagship project, including a new building, offering state-of-the-art facilities for teaching and research. The project enhances opportunities for continuing education and professional development and aims to attract the best students and staff to the Faculty of Health and Life Science.

The Brief:

Siskin was appointed to support the development and delivery of the marketing and communications plan for the launch of the new building.

Our Approach:

The key to our approach was alignment to Coventry University’s brand, culture and preferred tone of voice. Siskin worked directly with the University team, sharing expertise, listening to the team, adding value to the launch.

Siskin used a variety of marketing and communications tactics that supported a multi-channelled approach to engage with both internal and external audiences. We provided:

  • Designed and created content for brochures promoting each of the three faculties
  • Accompanying information leaflets for specialist areas
  • Social media content
  • Infographics which were displayed across a variety of large exhibition stands for the grand opening, which the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended
  • Exhibition materials
  • Branded goody bags and contents
  • An inflatable photobooth that aimed to create a ‘buzz’ with students and staff, and also formed a social media presence, attracting a wider audience reach

And as a result:

Since the opening, Siskin have continued their relationship with Coventry University, creating brochures for the research department and a suite of marketing materials to support the on-going recruitment of students.
